FAQ

What topics are covered in the online program?
Our skills-development curriculum teaches workers vital competencies such as communication and presentation skills and manufacturing process optimization. These courses help drive productivity, efficiency, and quality across companies’ supply chains.

Who is eligible to participate in the online courses?
The online courses are designed for small and medium-sized U.S. manufacturers that want to modernize their operations and adopt advanced manufacturing practices. Any business looking to build new capabilities in areas like automation, AI, or process improvement can apply.

Is there a cost to participate in the online program?
The Apple Manufacturing Academy offers its courses free of charge to eligible participants.

What is the difference between the online and in-person courses?
Our online courses offer a flexible, on-demand way to learn core advanced manufacturing skills through videos, interactive modules, and more. Our in-person sessions build on that foundation with more personalized instruction from Apple and MSU experts, and hands-on workshop experiences.

How do I apply for a session?
Applications for the online sessions are available here. Click on the “Apply Now” button to create your account. Eligible participants will be notified via email.

How long will it take for my application to be reviewed?
We will review all online course applications within 5–7 business days.

If I am denied, how can I appeal that decision?
If you have been denied enrollment and believe this was a mistake, please begin the appeal process by completing the questionnaire.

What are the technology requirements for the online courses?
A modern computer and a reliable high-speed internet connection are typically required to participate in the online manufacturing training.

How is the training delivered?
Courses include asynchronous sessions, on-demand materials, and interactive online modules. This flexible format allows you to choose the most relevant modules for your needs at the most convenient time.
